Use familiar headings
Professional Summary, Experience, Skills, Education, Certifications, and Projects are easy to understand. Creative labels can make information harder to classify.
Keep important information as text
Do not put essential experience inside an image. AblePro’s templates use selectable text and avoid decorative skill bars, charts, or ratings.
Match relevant terminology
If the posting says “customer relationship management” and you truthfully have that experience, include the phrase and the CRM you used. Do not repeat keywords unnaturally or claim tools you have not used.
Choose a conservative design when uncertain
Single-column layouts with standard fonts and consistent dates are the safest choice when you do not know how an employer processes resumes.
PDF or Word?
Follow the employer’s instructions. A well-produced PDF preserves appearance, but some applications specifically request DOCX. AblePro currently produces print-ready PDF output.
No score is a guarantee
Resume checkers can identify missing information and formatting risks, but they cannot know the employer’s full rules, recruiter judgment, candidate pool, or hiring decision.
